ASUS has added a new model to its ROG series of high-performance gaming monitors. Dubbed the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W, this monitor boasts a 26.5-inch dual-mode OLED panel, making it the world’s fastest gaming monitor.
ASUS Announces 720Hz OLED Monitor
The device can achieve different refresh rates at two different resolutions: 540Hz at 1440p and a remarkable 720Hz at 1080p.
The new monitor is built on LG Display’s fourth-generation Tandem WOLED technology. This new panel structure delivers 15% higher brightness and 25% more color space than previous WOLED panels. The most significant innovation is the 60% longer panel lifespan.
ASUS developed OLED Care Pro technology to reduce the risk of burn-in, a common occurrence in OLED panels. This system automatically dims the screen when the user moves away from the desk via the Neo Proximity Sensor.
The monitor is also VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certified. It offers color performance with Delta E<2 color accuracy, 99.5% DCI-P3 color gamut, and 10-bit color depth.
The ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W is well-equipped in terms of connectivity, supporting DisplayPort 2.1a (UHBR20) for 80 Gbps bandwidth. However, to fully utilize this high bandwidth, a UHBR20-compatible graphics card, such as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series, and the appropriate cable are required.
The monitor also features two HDMI 2.1 ports, three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and a headphone jack. Powered by LG’s fourth-generation OLED architecture, the PG27AQWP-W will be available in Europe with a price tag of approximately €1,200.
